Christina Justiz Roush is a visual artist focused on sculptural ceremonial objects. A New York native, she has a degree from Sarah Lawrence College in visual arts and religious philosophy.
Her work, inspired by astrology, tarot, and religious iconography, uses vibrant colors and intricate patterns to explore archetypal symbols and their transformative power in daily life. She incorporates natural, biodegradable materials like rainwater, spiderwebs, snake skin, and organic elements into sculptures crafted from plaster, wood, and handmade paper. These materials channel archetypal energies, guiding her artistic process. She believes that the objects around us can transform us, and sees sculpture as a powerful tool for this change. Her work blends the holy, whimsical, metaphysical, ironic, and erotic, with intricate patterns and vivid colors that evoke a universal beauty.
